M.E. Willman is a San Francisco Bay Area native who requires vast amounts of caffeine to adult and just can’t manage to yoga. Following a short childhood of rampant imagination and an ongoing adulthood of paying the bills in the publishing industry, M.E. blended a deep and abiding love of fantasy and Sci-Fi and a weekend habit of idealized historical re-creation into the Weapons of Chaos series.
Currently reading or re-reading:
-Frank Herbert, Dune: Yeah, I'm JUST getting around to reading it. It's such a weird thing to pick up such a seminal SF title--the expectation for greatness is vast. About halfway through--trying not to rush it.
-Anne McCaffrey, The Dragonriders of Pern (first three novels in the Pern books): I picked up this series in a strange way, reading the "prequel" book first as a teen, rather than reading them in series order. I really think this is why I try my damnedest to read a series in the order it's written--the first time I tried the "regular" Pern books after the prequel I couldn't get into them. Now, I'm appreciating what I know about the worldbuilding and enjoying the style more.
Patrick Rothfuss, The Name of the Wind: This is another major book that I have been slow to get into, but damn Pat knows what he's doing. And he's a great guy, to boot. Highly recommend for any Fantasy fan!
